New Employer Rates

There is a special industry rate for calendar year 2008. Beginning rates for all new employers will be 3.510% except for those in the construction-related industries. The contribution rate for construction will be 3.619%. The contribution rate for non-profit and governmental employers will be 1.30%. The rates for 2008 include a percentage increase of 30%.

These rates apply to employers who are not eligible for an experience rate. The tax rates above include all applicable percentage increases/decreases.
