The Missouri Commission on Human Rights Presents its 50th Anniversary Conference

The Missouri Commission on Human Rights (MCHR) is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a conference, "America: One Dream Ensuring Equality for 50 Years." The event will honor the Commission’s past accomplishments, while allowing attendees to participate in discussions regarding current issues such as human rights in Missouri.  The one-day conference will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., on Wednesday, January 21, 2009, at the Truman Hotel and Conference Center, 1510 Jefferson Street, Jefferson City, Missouri.  The conference will include workshops on the following topics:

  • Equal Employment and Fair Housing Legal Updates
  • Sexual Harassment Prevention
  • Predatory Lending
  • Hiring and Accommodating People with Disabilities

In addition, a panel of speakers will discuss "Immigration, Discrimination and the American Dream".
