Melissa McClain and Jess Tydings of Jefferson City, Stephanie Peters of Raytown and Paulette Smith of St. Louis will depart this weekend for a one-week tour of duty in Jackson, Mississippi. After their deployment, they will assist the hurricane affected states by handling the increased volume of unemployment insurance claims filed.
“I am grateful to these four employees, who have stepped forward volunteering their time and expertise to assist those that have been affected by this unprecedented disaster,” said Katharine Barondeau, director of the Missouri Division of Employment Security. “We are pleased to assist the Gulf Coast workers and expedite the processing of needed benefits in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.”
McClain, Tydings, Peters and Smith have over 45 combined years of experience handling unemployment insurance claims.
