Missouri Department of Labor Offers Unemployed Workers Online Method to Check Claims Status
Jefferson City, MO -- The Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations’ Division of Employment Security today announced a new online method for unemployed workers to view their unemployment insurance claim information for current and past claims.
“This new service is beneficial to unemployed workers in a variety of ways,” said Rod Chapel, director of the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations. “It allows another method of accessing unemployment claims information and it expands the hours of service since the claims information may be viewed online 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”
The online claims inquiry system will show the amount of weekly benefit payments the unemployed worker will receive, maximum amount on the claim, balance left on the claim, history of past payments and provide an explanation if benefits were denied for a specific week.
To view online unemployment claims information, please visit http://www.dolir.mo.gov/es/index.asp and click on “View Claim History.” Unemployed workers will be asked to enter their previously established personal identification number (PIN) and other identifying information.
The Missouri Division of Employment Security is responsible for providing unemployment benefits to workers who become unemployed through no fault of their own. Eligible individuals may qualify for up to 26 weeks of unemployment compensation.
Unemployed Missourians may file for benefits by phone at (800) 320-2519 or via the Internet at www.moclaim.com.
