Jefferson City, MO – The Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial
Relations announced an automatic 60-day filing and/or payment extension
of first quarter contribution and wage reports for tornado/severe storm
victims. Any business affected by the tornado/severe storms that
cannot file their first quarter contribution and wage report between May
1, 2003 and June 30, 2003 may use this one time extension. No interest
or penalties will be assessed until July 1, 2003.
The Department’s Division of Employment Security mailed forms last week
to employers potentially eligible for the extension. Businesses who
are entitled to this extension should complete the form and return to the
address located at the bottom of the page. Forms should be postmarked
no later than June 30, 2003.
